Andrea Strain began horseback riding when she was 6 years old. She has competed all across North America, from Indio, California (Palm Springs); to South Hampton, New York (including Madison Square Gardens); to Toronto, Ontario; and back to her hometown of Langley, BC at Thunderbird Showpark.
Andrea graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2005 with a major in Psychology, a minor in Kinesiology, and a certificate in Health and Fitness. This gives her a very strong background into the physical, mental and emotional fitness needed to excel in horseback riding.
Andrea Strain is sponsored by both SciencePure Nutraceuticals Inc. based out of Abbotsford, BC and Team Molson, and is very thankful for their support. She shows her dedication to her horses' health by supplementing them all with SciencePure's products on a daily basis. Starting in 2004 Andrea has been representing both Sciencepure and Team Molson in all of her major events.
Andrea created Villa Training around her experience and love of show jumping. One of the main focus of Villa Training Stables is training young horses for competition and sales. Andrea trains a large range of horses from young up and coming horses, to renowned Grand Prix horses. She also dedicates a large portion of her time to training riders dedicated to the sport of equestrian riding and want to learn proper horse care.
